The project constructs a toolkit designed to prompt individuals to envision a new way of living through manual thinking. The toolkit focuses on city model building as a process to open a ‘door of perception’ into a future beyond the constraints of contemporary society.

Future Artefact, an examination of the interplay between human systems and societal structures, serving as an official government document from a speculative future. Inspired by a critical examination of today’s increasingly divided, exploitative, and controlled hierarchical framework, it opens a tangible portal into the identity guidelines of an impending human existence.






EMO

APPLICATION

‘EMO’ explores the relationship between emotion and digital identities, through an emphasis on tactile experiences. Motivated by the beauty of imperfection in the physical realm, ‘EMO’ challenges the notion of perceived perfection in the digital world. At the core of the ‘EMO’ ecosystem lies a wearable device, acting as a companion that records and translates emotions into a personalised digital avatar through a diary-like format.

‘Soul’ is motivated by harmonising Body, Mind and Soul to optimise life's performance. In a society overwhelmed by distraction and uncertainty, mental well-being is often neglected. ‘Soul’s’ mission is to unite its audience through a Reishi-infused water based drink. Through enhancing immunity, regulating sleep and reducing stresses of life, ‘Soul’ empowers its audience to embrace self-awareness through a wellness and mindfulness lifestyle.

Fashion, ever-evolving, mirrors the essence of its era. A Line Through Forms embarks on a journey through 26 years of fashion, conveyed over 26 days of typography. Typography becomes a tool for reinvention, translating a fashion designer's stylistic vocabulary into a set of codes for visual language within each garment. A fashion line through typographic forms acts as a vehicle to archive four decades of fashion, celebrating the reinterpretation of their spirit into new ecosystems for renewed appreciation.

‘The Gatekeep Rum Co.’ acknowledges the prevalent consumer culture where many remain oblivious to the origins and production of their food and drink. ‘Gatekeep’ boldly takes charge, aiming to transform consumer mentality by placing rum production to the forefront of its brand ecosystem. ‘Gatekeep’ crafts a brand system and store design that immerses consumers in a journey from raw ingredients to refined spirit.

‘Made In’ offers a playful twist on the conventional ‘Made In *COUNTRY*’ phrase, serving as the proposed institutional showcase for Leeds Arts University end-of-year exhibition. Its dynamic and interchangeable nature ensures that no course within the institution is overlooked; rather, each is intricately woven into the fabric of the identity.

In an era where the promise of a ‘dematerialised’ society through the internet prevails, ‘Platform’ challenges this notion by acknowledging the staggering reality: the digital realm accounts for 10% of global energy consumption. ‘Platform’ advocates for a shift towards sustainable engagement and content consumption online, advocating for restrictions and digital limitations as a path towards online environmental responsibility.
